Yahoo Auction Bidding Guides
Always bid the max you're willing to pay. "Stepping Up" an yahoo auction is obvious to other bidders and could easily be outbid!
Bid as close to the auction close as possible! Don't give the competition more time to respond by bidding very early! You can even snipe with our system!
If trying to "snipe" an auction on your own, remember that bit of internet latency and the time it takes out system to process it. Try to place your bidding before less than 1 minute is left!
If a manual bid is needed, such as on restricted items and dutch style auctions, try to get your request in with at least 24 hours left until the auction close. This will assure your request is processed in time!
Not sure if it's a restricted item or dutch auction? Try placing a minimum bid early on to see if it goes through the system. This way you'll know for sure and you can raise that bid up to your true maximum later on!
Need to raise your bid? No problem, just bid again as usual!
Want to "buy it now" on an auction? Just bid the buyout amount listed and the auction will close with you as the winner!
